Nurture, Protect & Guide
Pathways exists to nurture, protect and guide “at risk” South Nashville teens into Christian adulthood.
Residents and Their Stories.
Amazing Lives.
Successful Young Adults
We are thankful these young adults are on a pathway to living with success. With a knowledge of the love of the Lord and a career path to support themselves we can look at their futures with hope. Each has accepted the help of various mentors and with the Lord's blessings they are making positive life decisions.
Serving South Nashville through housing and mentoring. Sycamore Creek Pathways is excited to share that as of December 2020 over 50 young adults have been blessed by the housing ministry in this area.
Sheryl Crow
Sheryl’s Apparels supports South Nashville Teens!
Sheryl Crow uses her talents and gifts to raise funds and awareness for the issues facing South Nashville teens. In spring of 2019 Sheryl hosted a “pop-up” store on 12th Avenue South. She cleaned her closets and sold her clothing both new and gently used to support this work. Join Sheryl in aiding the work of Sycamore Creek Pathways as it offers mentoring, guidance and housing assistance to South Nashville teens struggling with their pathway into adulthood after high school graduation.

Single Moms
One of the struggles for many of our graduates involve being a single parent. Wether it is upon graduation or soon thereafter adding a child to the plan usually makes for some complicated decisions. Our mentors walk with these women to offer support and suggestions when needed.
Voctech Training
Summers often give our teens opportunities to shadow various job opportunities. With the help of a government program which Obama enacted our teens were able to work at various internships for a small salary. This enabled them to get hands on experience before making big life choices.
Citizenship Issues
As many students graduate from high schools with dreams and plans they find problems due to citizenship issues. To attend any Tennessee college these student must pay out of state tuition even if they have been in America since they were very young. Help is needed for these students to find a path to support themselves for the future. Thankfully our mentors stand ready to help these students.
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:40

Camp Sycamore Creek has been a safe refuge for these "at risk" kids for years. Providing a free summer camp and retreat center these teens can relax and connect. Thankfully with caring volunteers ready to support and create connections with kids from inner city communities we can continue to light the way and open pathways of success.
